In this interactive webinar we will look at the importance of valuing all languages and simple ways that you can include languages in your daily practice. Together, we’ll look at practical ways to nurture learners’ full linguistic repertoires, as our classrooms should reflect the repertoire of all pupils. Through building identity and belonging. Kirsten will share simple strategies, real life examples and ideas that you can take away with you.
Presenter - Kirsten Barrett
Kirsten Barrett is a Scottish primary school teacher. She taught for 15 years in Scotland with a speciality of English as an Additional Language (EAL). During that time she has spoken at various events and is keen to continue fostering collaborative environments within the community.
Currently embarking on her Masters in Education at UCC, she is a keen reader of children’s books and a huge advocate for Reading for Pleasure.
