Target Audience: All educators interested in promoting Reading for Pleasure.
Join us for the third year of our Irish Teachers Reading Group. Across five meetings throughout the year, participants will have the opportunity to develop and reflect on different aspects of Reading for Pleasure within their own classrooms.

The aim of this informal, friendly, and supportive group is to:
Presenters: Kirsten Barrett and Hannah Sycamore
Both are keen to continue this free, evidence-informed CPD opportunity in Ireland, enriching teachers’ understanding of Reading for Pleasure (RfP) pedagogy and practice. Kirsten has taught for 15 years across a range of stages in Scotland and is continuing her Masters in Education at UCC, while Hannah brings experience from both teaching, her work with the Scottish Book Trust and her current roles supporting literacy in the science classroom. Both are passionate about the importance of children reading for enjoyment and the positive impact this has on their lives.New participants and returning members are equally welcome.
