We’ll look at models, frames, visuals and talking routines that make writing more accessible. Kirsten will share real life practical examples and strategies you can lift straight into your classroom to help multilingual learners as writers.
Presenter - Kirsten Barrett
Kirsten Barrett is a Scottish primary school teacher. She taught for 15 years in Scotland with a speciality of English as an Additional Language (EAL). During that time she has spoken at various events and is keen to continue fostering collaborative environments within the community.
Currently embarking on her Masters in Education at UCC, she is a keen reader of children’s books and a huge advocate for Reading for Pleasure.
