Target Audience: Post Primary Leaving Certificate HL Maths Teachers

• Differentiate between key financial maths scenarios including present value, future value, savings, loans, pensions and amortisations.
• Apply practical teaching strategies that help students develop conceptual understanding before introducing formal calculations.
• Use active learning approaches to support students in recognising patterns and modelling financial situations using geometric series.
• Adapt and implement classroom ready resources to increase student engagement and confidence in Leaving Certificate Higher Level Financial Maths.

Bio of Presenter: Amanda McGinn 

Amanda McGinn is the owner and creator of Mrs Maths Ireland. Amanda has a creative flare which is evident in the engaging resources, lessons and presentations she creates, designed to ease students and teachers most common pain points. Amanda has 8 years teaching experience in a variety of school settings, 7 of those as a exam craft examiner & 5 as a state examiner.
