Target audience: Junior Cycle History teachers

The webinar will explore how the physical force tradition influenced Irish politics, with particular reference to the 1798 Rebellion of the United Irishmen. Christian will present a suggested unit of learning, offering practical teaching ideas and sharing classroom-ready resources. Particular attention will be given to the role of Henry Joy McCracken as a leader of the rebellion. The webinar will also provide advice and guidance on exam preparation.

Christian is the co-author of Chronicles, a textbook package for Junior Cycle History. He is also the creator of juniorcyclehistory.ie, a website offering teaching and learning resources.
