Target Audience: Primary teachers of 3rd–6th class teaching writing through Irish — in Gaelscoileanna, Gaeltacht schools and English-medium schools (Gaeilge as T1 and T2).
This session tackles two information genres: An Scríbhneoireacht Tuairisce agus Mhínithe. We focus on organising content, building topic vocabulary in Irish, and using graphic organisers as scaffolds.
Foghlamóidh na rannpháirtithe conas / By the end, participants will be able to:
- distinguish report from explanation in purpose, structure and language features
- build topic-specific Irish vocabulary banks and use graphic organisers as scaffolds
- teach report and explanation writing with the appropriate connectives for each
Bio of Presenter: Lisa Ní Lúing
