This practical 3-part series gives educators a clear, engaging routine for phoneme-grapheme mapping using Elkonin boxes and more classroom resources. Across three sessions, participants will move from foundational theory (the Simple View of Reading) into live classroom demonstrations, troubleshooting tricky spelling patterns like schwa, silent letters and trigraphs, and building the routine into a repeatable 5-minute daily practice.

Yvette Manns, M.Ed. is a nationally recognized language and literacy specialist, former classroom teacher, and educational consultant with almost two decades of research and applied practice in literacy. She is internationally recognized as the author of the Phonics Read-Alouds series which is used in over 200,000 classrooms internationally and the founder of National Schwa Day. Through her training initiatives, Yvette equips educators with data-driven, Science of Reading-aligned strategies for phonemic awareness, phonics, and language development in the classroom.
