26TRA780 Project All Rise: Different Needs, Same Space: How Classroom Set-up Enables or Disables Learning
Date: Tuesday 13th October 2026
Time: 7.00 - 8.30 pm
Venue: Online via Zoom
Target Audience: Primary and post-primary school staff, including teachers, principals, deputy principals, and SNAs/ ANAs.
Every classroom holds a range of regulation needs in the same space.
Setting up the physical and sensory environment to enable all learners doesn't take an overhaul or a big budget. This session covers which changes will have the most impact, and why.
It will include short films with neurodivergent young people about their experiences of school spaces, as well as expert examples of what enabling set-up looks like in real settings.
Senior Occupational Therapist Katie Kerley joins us live to work through questions on your classroom set-up, and you'll have a chance to bring a space from your own school into the session. We'll share how to do that closer to the date. This one runs longer than usual to make room for it.
