Please note that registration on line is now available for all workshops for Newly Qualified  Primary and Post Primary teachers for the coming year 2018-19. Please register online or complete the attached registratiorn form.

Primary Language Curriculum Drop In Clinic

A Primary Language Curriculum Drop-in Clinic will be held in The Education Centre Tralee on Wednesday 29th August 2018 

Timeslots 10.00p.m. to 3.00p.m.

Duration: 1 hour slots (starting on the hour)

MEITHEAL

A leadership development programme for principals with a minimum of five years’ experience

Meitheal is a participant-led leadership development programme that is responsive to the individual professional needs of school principals. It draws upon the skills and techniques associated with coaching. A skilled facilitator works collaboratively with small groups (4 – 6 participants) using a developmental model to enhance leadership skills.

The Meitheal programme runs over a two-year period. The group typically meets each year for four sessions lasting approximately two hours. Each group will agree the date and time of these sessions.

Health & Well Being for Teaching Principals

A Collaboration between PDST Leadership and Health & Wellbeing Teams

This workshop aims to provide practical tools and strategies which will support Teaching Principals in their role as school leaders. It will incorporate ideas on how best to manage themselves in an increasingly challenging work environment, while balancing this with the primary function of providing quality teaching and learning in the classroom.                          

It will offer practical advice on:

  • time management
  • prioritising
  • distributing responsibility
